Zamperla All Access
Zamperla is committed to bringing together guests of all abilities.
Through innovative design and collaboration with experts, we deliver inclusive experiences that foster a true sense of belonging and fun for guests of all ages and abilities.
We don’t just meet accessibility regulations like the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — we go beyond them. Our goal is to remove barriers, not just comply with minimum standards.
From vision to action
It all began with a visionary statement from Alberto Zamperla in 2012:
“I want to create rides that everyone can enjoy"
This declaration set in motion research and projects dedicated to ensuring the largest possible safe accessibility to Zamperla attractions.
This commitment is further solidified through participation in initiatives like "A Ride for Everybody" which aims to create universal accessibility guidelines for amusement rides.
Zamperla utilizes Luna Farm, our indoor amusement park in Bologna, as a dedicated space for research and testing alongside medical professionals and people with diverse needs.
We are proud to be a leader in the amusement industry in terms of accessibility and inclusion.
For decades, we have been pioneering innovative accessibility solutions: from ADA‑compliant seating to fully inclusive ride designs that open the gates of fun to everyone.
At Zamperla, fun knows no boundaries — and neither does our commitment to accessibility.
Zamperla’s success with All Access is due to the partnership we have with clients globally. They help us better understand what operators need to succeed when serving guests with disabilities.
In 2018 we debuted our new Super Twister vehicle. That model featured a hinged door with our EZ-Key system that allowed guests easily transfer into the vehicle. We rolled this out on further Twister installations, like the first Freeform model at Cedar Point.
In addition, we took accessibility one step further. At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom we also added a four-point harness to our Twister Coaster, which allowed a wider range of guests to ride.
We recognize that accessibility is needed on roller coasters of all sizes. That is why even on our Family Coasters we have incorporated All Access technology. At Merlin Entertainments projects across the globe, we provided Family Coasters with EZ-Key and transfer benches. This ensures that those experiencing their first coaster ride can get in and out with ease.
As the attraction industry’s leader in accessible attractions that go beyond compliance, we have created a line of roller coaster vehicles that match the inclusiveness found on our flat rides.
Our goal is always to offer options that allow the maximum number of park-goers to ride our attractions.
Zamperla’s All Access approach means that our roller coasters are the most accommodating in the industry.
We are always working toward serving as many guests that come through a park’s front gate as possible.
