The St. Louis Wheel at Union Station expanded their initial two-ride offering and wanted additional capacity. They worked with Zamperla on three new attractions, each of which paid homage to the city’s history. The Flying Carousel was a nod to the 1904 World’s Fair, the Galleon to the importance of riverboats to the economy and the Compact Spinning Coaster for the huge impact railroads had on St. Louis.
Themed with the fallen flags of former railroads that served the St. Louis region, the coaster fit perfectly at the end of the midway.
With a 90 cm (36 in) minimum rider height requirement, the coaster is a unique attraction nearly every guest can ride.
