Cedar Point asked us for a new centerpiece attraction for their updated Boardwalk. The only caveat was that it had to have a height requirement that was broad appeal.
The result was our Twister Freeform. The design took what park-goers loved about a spinning coaster, created a custom layout and used our updated trains for a fantastic ride. We also engineered it with a stand up base so it had the aesthetic of an older Wild Mouse coaster but all of the latest features for a modern roller coaster.
We worked hand-in-hand to paint each vehicle differently to match Cedar Point’s theme. In addition, we used bright yellow and bright orange as the structure’s color palette so the ride popped on the midway.
The project was a hit with Cedar Point’s fans and has quickly become one of the most popular coasters with riders of all ages. Even a park known for thrills got a lot of traction from a coaster with a 105 cm (42 in) rider height
